Enable incompatible addons in Firefox 6

by Jose • No Comments

Firefox recently released their next version of Firefox, version 6.

They are now on a tighter release schedule similar to that of Google Chrome, developers must rush to deliver a release, but if the addons you currently use are not available for the next version, this will show you how to enable them.

Enabling incompatible addons

  • Launch firefox, in the url bar type and hit enter:
    $ about:config
  • Click on “I’ll be careful, I promise”
  • On the window, right click and selenct “New -> Boolean”
  • Add the following
    extensions.checkCompatibility.6.0

    and select “false” on the next popup.

You should now be able to go to your add-ons and view any incompatible addons.
